This is my chapter chat for week 1. I did not finish it last week because of other stuff so i finish it this week. I did research on New Zealand zoos.

 Mrs Taaffe stole the Milky way chocolates.  

 Mrs Taaffe stole the chocolate at 12:58 on the 10th of October 2020.  

Mrs Taaffe Parked outside the office and then came in the steel the dongle and took 18 chocolates.

Mrs Taaffe cut her hand the door. 

This morning Mrs Taaffe confessed.

The evidence that we gathered was. She wears a scrunchy, she was at school at the same time as the crime & her shoe size is the same.

Athletics

I entered in the 800 meter race witch is 2 hole laps around the track I came 5th. In high jump I manged to get to 105cm befour hitting the bar and getting DQ.  My best jump in long jump was 330cm & I wasn't even close to getting 1st. For shot put I came last with a 410cm throw. The most challenging thing was shot put. Our shot puts are 5.5kgs & I had to throw that with my noddle arm. I enjoyed high jump the most. When I was doing high jump onto the pole & bruised my ribs. I used the luring powers resilience because I didn't give up. & being me because all of my events I did by myself. 

 

SCI Investigation

I did my forensic finger prints. I have 0 arches, 7 loops & 3 whorls. Most people have loops. We rolled our fingers in ink, and rolled them onto paper to sea what they where

Cooking

This week I got picked by the cooking group.

On the first day we went over the safety hazard. 

On the second day I was not here 

On the third day we eat our veggie soups. (It was disgusting so we just  eat my chili)

The part I liked the most was eating my chili with my bread.

this is my chapter chat for week 8 term 3. I made a poster for Jimmy, Ross & Abby's band. I named it Franks because that is the name of there music coach. I took a lot of time to make this, but I think it looks good.

My new Bike.

KTM 125. 

I asked my mum if I could get a dirt bike If I save up. She did says yes. But I have to save up myself.  It is going to take about 3 years to save up. The bike and the protective gear coast over 6 grand.                                                                                     

Term 3 art

This is my term 3 art work. We did pop art with Mrs M. I went with Motocross. Here are all the things I use when doing motocross. Ktm is the brand of bike, Fox is the protective gear, and monster gets me existed.

Whetū Workshops Reflection

During Term 2 and 3 the Whetū students have had the opportunity to be involved in a range of different workshops. 

The workshop that I have enjoyed participating in the most has been Fitness when we played
dodgeball with Mrs Taffe. 

The new learning that I have learnt is how to make origami with Miss Mackintosh.

What I have most enjoyed about the workshops are getting stuck into activities at school. 

 I am interested in learning more about Science with acid. I want to see if  I can make
different explosions with different things.

It was so fun to learn more about new things with our work shops. (It was Tino pai)😃😃

Zoos

This is my inquiry for term 3 "So What?" I created a brochure to show my learning about the question. 'Should animals be kept in zoos. My option was NO as you can see on my brochure.   

Cross country .

year for cross country we did it on the bike track drew to Covid-19. I came 10th this year & that's the best I have ever got in my life. It was hard to keep up with the other fast players but I managed to keep up with them.

Chapter Chat Week 4 Term 3

This is my Chapter chat for week 3. The book we are reading is wink. In the story there is a little boy how gets bulled. I drew this on google drawings. It was hared to draw the bully manly because he's so big & Ross was small so he was easy.

Pepper pig

This is my Friyay creation. We made a cartoon seen based on pepper pig. We worked in our lurning conserlations. I made Daddy pig, Ryan made Grandpa, Lilly made pepper & Jessie made George. It took us the hole middle block and 10 mins of the last block. It was hard to draw Daddy with there round body. & it was hard to draw his face.

Egg drop

                                                                                                                                                                Me, Jared & Alex worked together to make this egg drop creation. Our egg didn't brake. The hardest part was getting it over to the grand stand with out it braking. The easty thing was to make it.

Logan Whetu Term 2 2020 Reflection

• The new learning activity that I have enjoyed the most this term is my blog challenge. My favorite thing to do was my bedroom. Bedroom 

• Something that has challenged me this term has been maths mystery, the hardest one was when you have to find the movie murderer. Reading the clues was the hardest because the instructions were tricky and you had to follow them or you would get the wrong murderer.

• The Whetu Challenge I enjoyed the most was the milk bottle creation. When we did the milk bottle creation I made a bird feeder.I liked this the most because I got to bring stuff from home and make what ever I wanted.

• The opt-in workshop I enjoyed the most was dodgeball in the hall. Every time I got burnt by diving on the floor. 

• An aim I have for my learning is staying focused when I am doing my learning.

Egg carton

This is my egg carton creation. As you can see it is a rugby fled. But when I was half way throw making making it realise that you had to use an egg carton, so I put some egg carton on the bottom.  

 

To make my egg carton creation I use Pom poms, egg carton, fevers & strews.

I rate my cation out of 10 will be a 9, because I could have use more egg carton. 

Maybe next time I can make a egg carton grand stand & some more coal post.   

The hardest thing was making the goal post with straws & hot glue.

Whetu Challenge - Paper Planes

Today our challenge was to design an accurate paper plane. We were given a draft piece of paper to trial and a good piece to use once we had tested the accuracy of it.

Before we started I thought this challenge was going to be great I love to make paper planes but my plane didn't go very far.

I decided to use the design the simple one I nearly got it into the hanger

The hardest part was folding the paper that the same size as the other side.

During our competition time I managed to score of 15. 😃 😃 😃

Damo the goat.

This is my 2019 calf club goat. He was the best goat I ever had. But sadly he side in the Xmas holidays. So please have a moment of silences for Damon.

Every Monday & Wednesday we do discovery. & for my discovery I am working on geese (Goose). Di you know that geese eat the same a mount as a sheep a day.

Tennis Ball Tower Challenge

Tennis Ball Tower Challenge😃😃😃

Today for our Whetu Challenge we worked in a group to build a tower out of newspaper, 2 straws and sellotape. We needed to make our tower strong enough to hold a tennis ball and be able to stand alone (not leaning on anything or needing support). Today I worked with Alex, are & Logan. At first we had trouble with Making a it stand by its self.

The easiest thing was Tapping it all together. Our tower looked pretty bad I thick we could have done better. In the end it looked pretty bad. Sorry but we don't have a photo. 😃

Overall I think that The most challenging part was Tying to make it go far.

The things that I used to make my catapult were rubber bands, sticks & spoons.

To make my catapult I worked with Jared how is on the right Logan is the middle and Alex is on the left.

Maths Mystery answer was Floaenc. I love doing the maths mystery. But I mostly like doing them in a group of two, so I can have a bit of fun with my mates.

    

Emoji

This is my emoji blog challenged. I tried to make him look like A duck shooter. (if you could tell). I was going to yous face paint, but then I side to myself.

 " That wouldn't look like an emoji". 

Week 1 Reflection

What has been my highlight this week is off line Wednesday.

What was I nervous about this week coming back to school.

For dress up day I dressed up as a duck Hunter. I love duck shooting, and it helps because the next morning is duck shooting.

The funniest thing that happen was that Mr Fraser silly hear cut, and his bred.

Best dress was Jared with his cool duck shooting gear.

Milk bottle. (Bird feeder).

The milk bottle creation I made was bird feeder 

The hardest part was cleaning up after. We had to get Hichys vacuum cleaner.

The easiest part was putting the bird seed inside the bird feeder. 

I enjoyed making the whole thing.
